Video card debate

My brother and I are trying to figure out which video card is better, and we were wondering if anyone could help us out. we are focusing mainly on performance.

mine:
ATI Radeon 9600SE

Memory: 128MB DDR RAM
Core Speed: 325Mhz
RAMDAC: 200Mhz x2
Pipelines: 4
Bandwidth: 64
Fill Rate: 1.3 billion texels/sec.

Brother's:
nVidia GeForce 4 440MX

Memory: 64MB DDR SDRAM
Core Speed: 270Mhz
RAMDAC: 350Mhz x2
Pipelines: 2
Bandwidth: 128 bit
Fill Rate: 1.1 billion texels/sec.

why don't you run some simple benches? (btw, my money is on the 9600)

first of all, i don't have benches, and second of all, i don't think i have the money to buy any

the 9600 is going to overtake the G4 MX. The G4 MX, to the best of my knowledge, isn't much more than a hopped-up Geforce 2 MX...

Benchmarks are free man.

I suppose that's true, you're basically determining which one's bad and which one's worse, but then not everyone needs that much performance.

Benchmark of cards

According to UT2003 1024x768, ur bro's card is a little faster. But mx440 r directX7 and urs should be DirectX9? so overall urs is better. Still, y did u get a 9600SESE, SE stands for sh*tty edition in my books.

The dreaded 64bit mem interface really gives the 9600SE a bad name. Many dont realize that a 9600 series could be that slow.
