I built this system last July.

I am considering upgrading each component over time, or waiting two years and just building a new machine.

Will my 8800 640 GTS last me another year ?

I do some lite gaming, BF 2 , Vegas etc

Cheers

Sure it will, just don't expect to crank up max settings in every new game that comes out.

Depends on the games you play. From your post, it sounds like it will. However, as munky stated, don't expect to be cranking up the details on every title that comes up.

Fortunately, a video card is an easy upgrade and, if necessary, a faster CPU upgrade wouldn't be impossible either.

True but I don't like spending £300 when you're a student :)

Depends how badly I like my gaming hay.

I hope my computer lasts me a couple more years. It feels like it has a few years left.

I just got done buying my 8800gts 320 for $88.
