Video card crashes in League of Legends.

I have submitted a support ticket with LoL support and XFX Support.

What I think is happening that causes the crash is I will be in game, and at any time the card's fan will rev up and then stop. My screen will display no DVI input and will go into standby.

Based on what I have read online my card is overheating and shutting down. I opened Speedfan and watched a graph of my GPU temp climb up from 30 degrees to 40 in about 1 minute. There was a recent patch in the game that may be causing this and there was a recent video card driver update that I downloaded and installed.

This is the only game that it happens in so it is most likely this games current patch. I hope it will be fixed in the next patch that comes out in a few weeks. I could run this game and many others fine up until this patch.

I have a AMD XFX 7770 and a Intel 3570, 8GB ram and a Z77 D3H motherboard.

I recorded this ignore everything except 6 min to 7 min. At 6 min you can see the temp is 34 C and at 7 min it is at 50C. So in 1 min of a game the temp jumped over 15. That's not normal, and even arma 2 or farcry 3 on max does that to my pc.

Rollback Driver is greyed out. I updated via AMD's website so I don't know what is going on. Is there another way to rollback other than from control panel > Device Manager?

My current version is... Windows Vista 64-bit Catalyst - AMD Catalyst Software for HD-7000 models Version: 13.1

You could probably find an older version on a site like guru3d.com.

I don't see a temp problem here though. AT testing showed this card getting close to 70 at full load.

When you installed your current driver, if you first uninstalled the previous driver you won’t be able to roll back. In this case, follow the same steps that you previously used to uninstall your driver. Once complete, you can then download and re-install the recommended driver. In the C: nvidia folder your previous driver should be there.

I used an old system restore point and reinstalled the game. Seems to be working fine for now. If any other problems regarding the game arise I will post here.
