Video Card Connections

please do not flame my ignorance 🙂, but what kind of a video connection is on an ATI 9700 Pro? is it a DVI connection? and Can I connect a standard 15 pin svga connection to it? Thanks

the 9700Pro has a SVGA not a DVI connection. only newer cards such as the Geforce 6 series and X series come with only a DVI connection.

not really. It actually comes with a DVI connection AND a VGA connection.

You should be fine, all video cards come with either a VGA connector, a VGA + DVI connector, or Dual DVI (in this case they bundle some VGA adaptors so you should be fine). So don't worry about that.
