I can't find any graphics cards which offer 3x DL-DVI ports, or 3x DP ports.

Presumably, I can mix-and-match a combination of DL-DVI and DP, so long as the monitors have the requisite ports. (I realise there is a problem if the monitor has DL-DVI only, and the GC DP only, as very expensive active converters are required).

Am I likely to expect any problems driving 3x 2560x1440 displays @ 30-bit? If this is going to be a problem, then I will accept 2 displays @ 30-bit and 1 at 24, but this is very much an undesired solution.

3D/OpenGL or OpenCL power would be very desirable.

I was thinking that a radeon 7950HD would be a suitable card, but I could be convinced to go for a firepro V7900.

Anyone with experience in this sort of setup?

OP you might be well served by getting a pair of cheaper cards and running them in SLI or Crossfire.

No Radeon can drive two DL-DVI ports - one of them is always SL-DVI.

No idea about nVidia. You need to ask/check about that.

Most 7950 and 7970's will drive 2xDP + DL-DVI. Just get three monitors that have both connectors (not hard to find generally). Most higher-end high-res displays have both of these already, as they are the preferred connection.

Otherwise, if you don't plan to game much, there is a 6x mini DP 6870 'eyefinity' models available. The same goes for the older 5870 as well. I have not seen any 6x mini DP 7xxx models yet, but I would think we would at some point.
