Video Card Choice for gaming

Hey Guys,
I'm building a new computer system:
P4 2.8ghz, 800Mhz FSB, 1024mb DDR ram etc.

I had orginally planned on getting an MSI FX5900 VTD128mb card but have since heard it might not be that great. Is this card the NV35 chipset? What do you guys think of this card?
Would you recommend a different card?

I'm upgrading from a 32mb GF2mx so anything is going to be much better and thus i dont necessarily need a BRAND new card...but it would be nice ;-)

Thanks for any help!

I'd probably get a radeon 9800 instead, but really the fx5900 should perform fine and I don't think you'll see much difference.

Just last week I made the jump from a GF2 Ultra to a Radeon 9800 PRO.

Do it you won't be sorry, BEST move I ever made, super card !

I'm upgrading from a Radeon LE 32DD to a Gainward Golden Sample GF4-ti4200 128 mb on my rig. Do ya'll think I'll see a big boost? My 3D animation is a bit too jerky in Neverwinter Nights.

Thanks... I realize my current rig will handy cap frame rates somewhat... but I need a boost immediately to my gaming experience. I do plan on upgrading to a Athlon XP platform this fall... will put the ti4200 in that when it is built.
