Video card buggered, or something else?

ok, just got my computer setup and im running a evga geforce 6800 card. when i play World of Warcraft the screen looks kinda wierd. if my character is standing still everythings gorgeous(maxed specs 🙂 )however, if i move the camera its like the screen gets sort of cut into sections (like lines horizontal) and the screen seems to struggle displaying the image. ive tried bottoming out specs and it still happens. when i was running it on my old computer i never noticed it, and i surely would have. the only thing i can think of is vid card problem. ive also switch from using a vga cable on the old machine to dvi on the new, and even tough the dvi cable came with my roomates NEC monitor and mines a Samsung i dont think that would be a problem.help? 🙁

many thanks.

I seem to recall there were some problems with the DVI ports on 6800's, so its also possible thats your peoblem.

i just remembered that it ocasionaly flashes a weird black screen that has a crisscross of really tiny grey lines through it, and im not sure how to find Vsync. I have Omega Video drivers installed and cant find a"control panel" for nvidia, just the Nview settings tab in the taskbar.
