Video card BIOS settings questions

I have a Geforce 6800 and DFI LAN Party UT 250 motherboard. What are desired settings in the BIOS for the video card, i.e. AGP Fast Writes etc? I searched the group and couldn't find a post addressing this.

I have read in another thread about disabling AGP fast writes to enhance vid card performance. I'm curious why turning off what sounds like a performance enhancing feature would possibly improve it. Can anybody explain?

Thanks in advance.

Fast Writes are a fairly fragile feature, Not Working (tm) for many people ... particularly for those who like to overclock. When all the engineers involved (and you) have done their job right, it is A Good Thing and actually makes stuff faster.

Last time I researched "fast write", I ended up with.."it all depends on the card design"
It works on some cards and screws up on others.
The conclusion..try it at your own risk...

Put the thrill back into your computer..
Enable fast write and...hold on...LOL
