Video card and Win 95 sort of works........

Thanks for looking in.

Oldish poota - win95. Old Graphix card died.
Another one was installed - ATI mach64 VT [pci]. Seemed to be no problem.
Only problem is that on bootup, Windows says 'VGA card is incorrect'
Help please.
Driver doesnt seem to be in error [windows recognised it].

Any ideas.

It's detecting the card and running it as a standard VGA device. Downloadthe proper drivers from ATi.

1) What monitor?
2) What is giving the error? Windows? Bios? (At what point during boot does it appear)
3) Are you sure the mobo doesn't have integrated gfx?
4) Is it in the same slot as the one that died?
5) What was the one that died?
