Video Card and Monitor Help

I can get a X800 Pro for a pretty damn good price. It is OEM and Refurbished however. It is from Newegg.com. Do you think it would be a bad idea to purchase this, or should I go for it? Will I be able to download Sapphire RedLine tool because I'm sure the driver CD doesn't come with it? Also, the PSU should have a cable to connect it to the card right? I don't have to buy anything else do I?

If its apg then yes the psu with have a cable you can put into the card, I believe PCI E cards use a different type of cable that you would need to have. Drivers can be downloaded online im not sure about this tool, you would have to look for your self on Saphire's website, it cant be that importent either way. Refurbished cards are always a risk, there is no garuanty it will last, its up to you if you're willing to risk it.

It is an AGP. So it's compatable, now the only quesion is whether I should risk it or not. Someone told me that sometimes, if someone returns an item, the reseller is forced to sell it as refurbished, even if it hasn't been used or if there was nothing wrong with it. The fact that it was bought and returned labels it as refurbished. Has anyone here bought refurbished cards? Also, somebody else told me it might be a ViVo with GC20 memory rather than GC16, and for this reason, they returned it. That would be bad, as I plan to flash to an XT PE.

Which card are you looking at and for mow much? I didin't see any phenomenal deals on newegg for an X800 Pro that would make me risk a refurb purchase. Either way, newegg will let you return refurbs as well, just make sure that you read their fine print.

The cheapest retail ViVo I can find is $419 for an MSI RX800 Pro ViVo. I don't want to risk F'ing up my card so I'll just get a VisionTel Xtasy X800 XT for $480. It's only $60. If I can find better deals (which I have) for other parts for the computer I'm building, I can make up for the price hike. So far, I'm buying everything that's in my sig. Any suggestions?

Also, I am debating between the Sony StylePro SDM S73 and S74. They are the same monitor except the second one supports DVI. Do I really need DVI? Does it offer that much of an improvement on this monitor? Has anyone maybe seen both of these monitors in person. I can't seem to find them except online. I have a horrible screen on my laptop with horrible ghosting, so at this point, almost anything will be better.
And lastly, is Chief Value a good store? I can get Crucial Ballistix pretty cheap from them.

Can someone help me with my DVI question? And the Xtasy X800 XT is a good deal right? $480. I rather buy that than spend $419 and f*k up a card by trying to flash it to an XT PE.
