Ok, I am not a computer guru, so any help will be greatly appreciated and need to be in simple terms so that I can follow your troubleshooting.
I have 3x identical Asus 27 inch monitors that I have hooked up via Nvidia Surround for multi-screen gaming and usage.
1 screen is hooked up via the active adaptor and the other 2 are hooked up via DVI.
My problem is this...
Randomly the computer will make a sound similar to when you hook up any other peripheral , and then shut down 2 of the the 3 monitors. The only way to get all 3 working again is by unplugging active port going into the video card and replugging it back in.
However, this is only a very temporary fix as within minutes the same 2 out of 3 monitors shut back down again. The only fix is just unplugging and replugging in the main active port.
The video card is a 780, with a 950 cpu and 12 gigs of ram. The latest drivers are installed for the graphics card.
This is driving me crazy and I cant find anything via google that lists any fixes for my current problem.
Thank you all very much if anyone can assist!
