Hi, I have an ATI TV Wonder tuner card that I can't get to operate properly when recording.
In ATI Multimedia Center 9.08 it doesn't allow me to capture at a resolution higher than 320x240. I want
to be able to record at 640x480 resolution. However, Intervideo WinDVR 3 allows me to capture at 640x480
and also has better image quality during veiwing and recording than the ATI software. But the
problem is when I start to record in Intervideo the video on the screen turns into a
purplish tint even though the recorded video plays back normally. I'm not sure why its doing that
because in my old system it recorded fine in 320x240 without that color problem. But now when
I try it with my new system I get that problem. I think it is some overlay problem because
in the Intervideo settings when I uncheck the "enable overlay" I don't get that purplish screen
but the video does't run properly. When I check overlay it runs properly but the video runs with
the purplish color. I don't how to fix this problem.
My system setup is:
Windowx XP Professional SP2
Direct X 9.0c
BFG GeForce 7600 GT (ForceWare version 93.71)
Asus P5W DH Deluxe Motherboard
Core 2 duo 6400
ATI TV Wonder PCI
Power DVD
So I would like to know:
1) Is there a way of getting 640X480 resolution capture setting in ATI MMC 9.08 with the ATI TV Wonder PCI card?
2) How do I get rid of that purplish tint when I try to record in Intervideo WinDVR 3?
3) Is there a better program then these two that allows good TV watching quality, functionality and recording at 640x480
with an ATI TV Wonder PCI Tuner card?
