Hi Guys,

I am looking to do video capture in HD from my PS3 and Xbox 360 in order to use for our game reviews. I have done quite allot of googling around and have some information, but leaving allot of gaps.

I know I will need a half decent capture device and I am considering the "Black Magic Intensity Shuttle Video Editing for USB 3.0".

Anyone have any real experience with doing this kind of thing and have any comments on the above capture device or have a suggestion for another?

Beyond doing capture and recording I am also considering streaming live to our site where our web server will relay the video for the viewers, however here I am beyond lost as to how to make that happen.

Thanks for the help guys!

Do you have any experience with it or some info on why it would be a better choice?

That could be an issue, however I should be fine to just capture via component?

Yes, you can record through component, I was just telling you before you tried to do it via HDMI. As for the device, it's a good device, but doesn't have the best build quality (or so I hear). My old clan that produced a few videos used it to record, and it was good quality.

As I edited them, I got to see the raw footage, and it was a bit better than YouTube projects, but that is a good taste of what you will be getting.

Awesome, thanks!

What did you use to do all your editing?

PS. Nice video lol

The first one was edited in a crappy program called Cyberlink Power Editor. Tried using After Effects after that, and it was okay, but hard to learn. Used it for text and such. Started using Vegas, and that turned out to work pretty well, so stuck with that.
