I have been in the market for a Video capture card for months but I'm still undecided.
I've asked people in these forums for help but I never seem to get a straight answer about my main concern, which is video quality.
I plain on using this card to capture analog video through either the A/V or S-Video(from a S-VHS VCR and satilite dish) jack and create dvds' some for commercial use (Converting videos from my school to DVD) and personal use(capturing shows on my satilite dish). I need a card that will capture DVD quality video. Do any of you guys have any recommendations as to which card I should buy? I can only spend $120 at most.

I don't think there's a card capable of what you need for ~$120. I would PM rbv5 as he knows a lot about HD/high-quality capture/tuner cards.

You can look here for info on capture cards. Read the comments on the cards and you can get a good idea of what each can do. I currently use the ADVC-100 which is about the best you can get for capture, but it goes for around $270.00. It doesnt come with any software either. My captures look amazing but you will need a big harddrive and some time to figure things out. Check out my other post on this thread for what I use. Good luck with whatever you decide.
