My friend wants to go from VCR and DVD onto computer, as well as get streaming video off of the net as well. Are there any good cards or software that will help him??

Right now, he uses his Radeon to capture video, and for some odd reason the video and audio are not synchronous. And sometimes it gets worse. I said it might just be better to get a dedicated video capture card for your video needs.

Any answers or ideas are appreciated....

No reason for the Radeon not to work very well. Video capture cards can be finicky, and the proper driver installation is critical. My advice would be for your friend to keep his already excellent capture card, and look for help to set it up properly.

I'll second the notion that he already has an excellent capture card and suggest that if the problem with audio and video being asynch continues that he use a program like Nandub or several other good programs out there that can easily fix that problem.
