Hi there if i buy i video capture card can i take a vcr and hook it to the capture card and than send the vcr signal through the card bypassing the computer the card is installed in and displaying the vcr picture onto a projector so that i can watch my vcr tape as if i am watching a movie? i do not want to edit the vcr signal at all all i want to do is just use the computer and card as a way to display a vcr tape onto my screen thats it? and if so what card should i get? i want a capture card with coaxial,s video and rca inputs so i can hook all perifials to the card for dispaying those devices on my sceen mostly it will be a vcr and a accasional camcorder

I'm sorta confused but I'm thinking you can... if you just want to view the tape on your CRT then yes you can do that and run also run Camcorder through the VCR and see it on the CRT.

i want to be able to view the vcr on the projector screen not the crt monitor if i hook a vcr into the video capture card can i than display the vcr tape over the projector? withought editing the vcr picture?

Ohhh OK Yes you can but you may have to flip a switch. On Mines I just run the VCR through the Composite or SVHS input

perfect thats exactly what i needed to know i plan on using my computer dvd player to display a movie over my projector but accasionally i got a vhs tape that i need to display also and that is what i want the capture card for i am going to get a generic capture card with s video/rca input and coaxial input so that way i got my bases pretty much covered thank you for the info
