Video Capture card with audio

Are there or is there a video capture card (PCI i guess ) that has a built in audio capture? I am talking about analog as I will be capturing from my dad's old crummy camcorder that has the tapes in it. I was reading you normally would run the audio through your audio card... does this cause issues in syncing the sound with video or does whatever video capture software you are using take care of this? Do you pay a premium to have the audio capture on the capture card?
