I just recently bought a Sony TRV-17 MiniDV camcorder, and now I am looking for a good Firewire Capture Card. I have Adobe Premiere 6.0 and I would like to be able to stream video directly into this software. What are my best options for capture card? I am looking to spend about $150, but would go as high as $300 if the additional options are worth it.

Any help is appreciated!!

Looks like a good deal...

Any advantages or disadvantages between this card and the Pinnacle Express DV? link

Any $20 firewire card will do just as well as a $2000 card. DV video isn't captured, it's basically a digital file copy, so no matter what card you use, the resulting video will be exactly the same. The only reasons some cards cost more is because of the included software or built in realtime hardware affects. Since you already have Premiere, just go with a dirt cheap firewire card.
