I need to buy a video camera for a trip to Europe I'm taking this summer.

However, I know nothing about video cameras.

Ideally, it would burn directly onto video CD / DVD, and require little/no editing on the computer... not talking quality, but I don't want to have to download the stuff and then put it on a DVD. Not sure on price range, probably a few hundred dollars.

Thanks, please help if you can.

P.S. Ideally it won't be TOO complicated, my dad needs to use it ;)

They exist - but they are more expensive than regular camcorders - you are probably looking at $1K or more.

Yeah - and this is a good one to compare to.

You won't be able to film us Europeans in color. Your NTSC camera is not compatible; we have PAL colors here.

What would you suggest then?
