Video Camera Setup

Here is my dilema. My grandparents are having their 50th aniversary, the whole 9 yards, the wedding and the hall. So I need you videographers' advice. I need to know general instructions on how to set up, where to set up, and what I am supposed to do. The cameras that I will be using will be consumer DV cameras with tripods, probably 4-5 seperate cameras. 2-3 cameras will be set up as stationary and 1 will be set up as a free roam camera to go around and get some movement. I will be editing and all that stuff, but I basically need ATOT's help to set up the cameras. Thanks for your help, I really want this to be a great thing so my grandparents have something to remember it.

We need more information. Like where tables will be and the layout of the room. Lighting conditions would also help.

In general, put the stationaries in an area where there will be constant action, such as the dance floor, or if you are having live music, on them too. Then go around with free camera(s). Interview people if you would like.

Remember, go around and get people doing their thing without them knowing that you are filming them. That is usually the best footage.

I will get you floor plans, I just have to find them. Basically, what I am asking is should I go for the wide angle or for close up?
