Video Camera Recorder best for low light

Hi suggestions please what brand/model of camera is best for low light without night vision. Camera used was Canon Vixia HF-R800 but video quality is not good. Thank you

The sensor in that thing is super tiny. Even the sensors in some cellphone cameras are bigger. Bigger sensor captures more light and thus better low light PQ.

You didn't mention your budget so get one with the biggest sensor you can afford.

Thank you, what can you recommend for 3,000 to 4,000 budget?

I can't really give you recommendations on any direct models but I suggest you research the 1" sensor camcorders if that's your budget. Camcorders with APS-C sized sensors are probably out of your price range. If you don't mind a camera with good video features the Sony A7s or A7s2 are well known for great low light PQ through the use of a full frame sensor.
