Hey guys, I got home from work today and discovered my computer frozen. When I rebooted my system did not POST or beep. After troubleshooting for 2 hours I finally found a suspect. When I remove all devices from the computer except for PSU and CPU I get 1 long beep and 2 short beeps. After searching the web for the AMI BIOS beep codes I found that the code meant:
1 long, 2 short Failure in video system An error was encountered in the video BIOS ROM, or a horizontal retrace failure has been encountered
Since my video card isn't even plugged in, I can safely assume it is not the culprit, but the Video BIOS ROM is messed up.
Now that I have found the problem, I have no idea how to fix it.
Any suggestions?
