I have installed a plugin called PPLive on my Desktop and Laptop PC to watch live Warcraft 3 games (big fan of the game)

I am not certain but I think it's 'damaged' my playback on Windows 7- it might have been something completely different.
There is major V-Sync issues when playing back even low resolution full screen video, in single or dual monitor configuration and stuff which certainly shouldn't hassle the machine.
Interestingly the 3D playback of games is fine, so I'm guessing it's some kind of direct filter or video filter? I don't know how windows video playback works but a file is clearly broken.
I un-installed the plugin and it hasn't fixed the problem.
Any suggestions before I re-build the machine entirely, I really don't want to over just this one thing but video really looks bad.
(Multiple video players too, VLC, Mplayer classic and GOM - same results)
