Vid porblems in XP

well my friend is having the problem not me but here it goes

"alright..i just upgraded to XP and it ran for 1 day fine...now when i turn on my comp, it loads either up to the scandisk or the windows startup screen, and when its done that it goes black or my monitor displays a "Out Of Sync" error mssg and i cant do ne thing..i have a KDS Visual Sensations 19" with a radeon 7500 and XP Drivers...ne ideas?? i had no prob with 98..so if u cant solve..ill have to go back (shudders)..
ps. the only way i can log into my comp is under VGA mode..and the second i turn up the res i get the out of sync thing and thats it and all the Hertz are fine in my settings and stuff"

generic advice (sorry i own an nvidia card):

1. check the connections between the monitor and ure mobo when the power is OFF
2. if the OSD of ure monitor has a test setting, try it
3. ditto if ure monitor cd has one
4. uninstall whatever drivers you have installed (hopefully they are in add/remove). REBOOT even if it doesnt ask u too
5. when u successfully reboot, download a fresh version of the drivers and virus scan it.
6. install the new drivers, then reboot.

might not do anything, but hope this gets the juices flowing for others to give advice.
