And to people who would say the poverty in Iraq is their problem, that's fine, it WAS their problem, until we invaded to 'liberate' them.

We invaded for a number of reasons including WMD's (which more than 500 have been found according to a de-classified report as of July of this year) and Al'Queda blatantly bragging about moving to Iraq, overthrowing the government, and taking over as their base of operations.

We did not invade Iraq to liberate Iraqis.

I wish the kids in the video had guns and shot the piece of ****** soldiers. Then again, if that had happened the thread title would have read "omg look at these kids killing our great troops etc". I'm sure events like this disturb all of the decent people serving our country. It's a shame that soldiers arent better screened prior to representing our country.

Well, you're not over there "serving" our country, so obviously that screening process works.

I respect that the people in the army are going to fight in the war
Just those few who are killing the reputation of the US (ie raping children)

Sad video - I wish he wasn't laughing

I'm sorry you choose to interpret things in such a way that if nobody else sees it your way your diaper is full.

Well if you meant that you discovered you're a dumbass, I guess you're right.
But reading back at all the previous comments, its sad people feel that they're only way of "getting back" at the pride of the armed forces is to dig up dirt about them, deliberately distorting things, generalizing, making stupid comments.

I think for the OP, you don't know what the full story was before, all you see is some guys holding water bottles, kids running after the truck, and you assume all sorts of garbage, deliberately or not, I don't want to know.
You have no respect, and your parents should beat the living daylights out of you, might also do something to your respect and your little punkass attitude.

Ok, I'll post a serious/sincere reply. :p

I agree with sniperruff. I feel sorrow and disgust for anyone that feels this is a tolerable and just action for a soldier or anyone to treat a child or any human being in this manner.

Actually, my comment was to bring out the self righteous dumb asses such as yourself. And by you quoting and commenting my previous post proves that. Have a good day. :)

I agree. Those soldiers should be charged and punished.

LOL.. charged and punished for what?! teasing some kids?

Fvck.. those kids looked like they were maybe 10-12. I bet you'd get the same reaction holding up a candy bar.. or pack of gum.

Kids here run after the ice cream truck.. even if they don't have money.

The US army should not be viewed as a bunch of yahoo driving around making fun of the locals. That is why those soldiers should be at the very least disciplined.

Those soldiers should be disciplined. That's not the way you act if you're a soldier. ****** disgraces. Good thing not everyone is like that (as evidenced by the soccer vid someone posted above).

Ah, so I'm a self righteous dumbass when I'm the one defending others who have had judgment pronounced upon them by people such as you?
I'm sorry, I hope there's snow where you are, because you just got fried.

TehMac, while posters such as yourself are very entertaining please be more creative and original. Then again, this is free entertainment - what is one to expect. :p

Wrong, we invaded based on false/tenuous evidence of WMD's that were to pose an imminent threat on the U.S., none of which were found. When we didn't find any the Bush administration switched to a 'regime change rationale', i.e. the liberation of Iraq. One of the moral dilemmas of claiming you're freeing a people by invading their country is that you become responsible for their welfare. But I guess the traditional conservative ideals of personal and moral responsibility, which I deeply respect, don't apply to the neocons.

Are you fvckin kidding me? Wishing death on someone who fights for your freedom, you ungrateful prick.

Big deal, the kid had to run to get water. Even if he didnt get it, its just water, everyone has it over there. Whomever said that they didnt obviously has never been there.

To start this argument over a kid running after a bottle of water and not getting it, really says something about yourself. Find something to do, there are bigger issues over there than being out of breath.

Unfortunately the adults who witnessed this probably hate us more.
The kid will get over it. He knows the water was his and if he didn't get it then it was because one of his own stole it from him.

And the people who would hate the USA more for this are never gonna like us anyway. They could've not even given the water. It was all innocent enough.

Yeah let's invade a country and torture their kids! WTF are you talking about?

Are you sure you arent a comedian? I can not take anyone serious that has the word "thug" in their username. :p That is my right as an american. :D

Children starve every day and in this video we have foolish bastards taunting them. You're correct. I'm really ungrateful since you personally know me based on a few meaningless posts on a internet forum. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I agree kinda though. I'd much rather have people like this fighting for our country because it's no lose to society when people like this are brought home in a body bag.

Why don't we have our soldiers shoot all the civilians-then we wouldn't have to worry about our soldiers acting in a sordid way. Oh wait! The civilian death toll is up to 700,000 and there are U.S. soldiers going to prision for raping an Iraqi woman and then murdering her whole family (mother, father, siblings 5 and 7 year old) including her. There is also alot of press about the lowering of entry standards including recruits that get pushed through even though they may have problems with drugs and fellony records.

You wankers that think this is okay have your heads so far up your azss that you think the stars are brown.

No tap dancing here. Really. I don't value the opinions of random strangers so feel free to think what you like. I typed the strong foolish reply to get reaction from people that actually take forum posts serious. And it in fact brought dumb asses out. :) Although, I wish I had bet with a friend beforehand. Regardless, a fun way to waste time while I move data to a file server.

Wow, you Americans must be so proud of the brave men representing you.

Absolutely we are. Obviously they do have water there, it does rain now and then, you see puddles everywhere. Where's the link to the video of kids hucking rocks at our soldiers who were doing supply runs, bringing things like food and water to the civilians?

Honestly I have zero sympathy for anybody in that part of the world. Obviously I can't lump everybody together in one group, but so many people over there are simply blinded by illogical hatred of us, or anybody different from themselves for that matter. At this point I'd be more than satisfied to see every one of our troops and pieces of equipment (even the stuff we brought over to help "fix" their infrastructure for them) yanked out and brought home, and let the whole region simply destabilize and turn into a nasty civil war. Let them kill each other, rather than us.

you live in Canada.
Nobody hates you.

Yeah, I live here now, only for 6 months though. I'm an American citizen still, with all of the responsibilities should they ever come about. I still file tax returns, can still be drafted, can still vote (although I won't because I don't live there), all that fun jazz.

And you'd be surprised just how similar Canada is to the US, once you get past the pop culture hating of all things American BS that their TV and radio personalities spew. There are people here just as ignorant as some Americans are, just as obsessed with material goods, absolutely LOVE American TV shows, it's pretty much like living in the States, but with funny money and every now and then someone jumps on a soapbox and calls Bush a douchebag. Then I mention Harper's name and it all goes to hell ;)

Also, they really like it when I refer to Canada as the 52nd state, right after Puerto Rico :)

What channel are you watching where all the hating of American BS goes on? Canada's political satire is very satirical, much more than Americans are of themselves. You're probably not use to it, and think it's all directed at Americans, but it's just as heavily directed at our own politicians.

No doubt there's a lot of Bush hating in Canada, but that's to be expected. It's like that in 99% of the world.
