The iPod has a speaker; by default, it's enabled so that every time you scroll the wheel it makes an audible clicking sound.

I suggest finding the nearest Apple store and/or RMA'ing that bad boy before it goes all FUBAR on you.

Actually, you may want to simply try restoring it's firmware to the factory state. Download the latest Apple iPod updater and then do a restore instead of an upgrade. If your firmware is the same version, you'll still be able to restore. Sometimes my third gen gets all messed up and doesn't read it's battery status right and restoring fixes that for me.

Ya i did that it still does it let me explain my problem a little deeper. I have the internal speaker to make the click sound when i move something . The thing is if i turn it off and i dont touch the pad there is no click noise the ipod is off. If in the other hand i turn it off and when it turns off i move slightly the wheel the ipod is off but if u mess withthe wheel u still hear the noise.
Ijust call apple tech and their like i spoke the the tech advisor and the manager and they said that shouldnt happen but they said it like if i drop it or something (Which i havent).I think i just return it back to bestbut and get my money back.

That doesn't sound like something it should do... However, I'm far too attached to my iPod to ever even consider sending it back - even if I had warrenty left. I guess you could just put the lock switch on after you turn it off and then the wheel wouldn't make the sound. I always lock mine when it's off anyways. It's an idea...
