Vid Drivers for Half Life 2

I always hear "oh yeah the new drivers are really better for this game yadda yadda" it's probably a bunch of baloney but are there any ATI vid drivers out there that are specifically better for playing Half Life 2? Just link me to the drivers or tell me which ones.

That's funny. We're all used to everyone here talking about having a 6800 or above we've completely forgot what an ATI card is 🙂

Latest drivers. With ATI drivers it's not about which ones are better for which game. If there are any known problems with the driver and a specific game, they list it in release notes. What you might be thinking is when 4.12 came out. They increased performance in HL2 by a lot. But that's one of the goals for the drivers, not just fix problems, but also increase performance.

its just that right before this i posted about 5 posts about the new 70/71 betas and didnt read his whole post ahhahaha
