Vid cards not getting enough power?

So I just did a new computer build about a month ago then got another video card to run SLI, but now I have a problem.

Heres the setup first:

Thermaltake Armor /w Side Fan
Intel E6750
ASUS P5N32-E SLI
500GB Seagate 32MB Cache
2x EVGA 8600GTS 256MB Superclocked (720MHZ)
ASUS 20x DVDR/Lightscribe
Rosewill Z3 Heatsink/Fan

And most important to this problem...Corsair 520HX Power Supply

I've been starting to get errors from my Nvidia stuff about my cards not recieving enough power so their performance is being clocked-down. Can anyone tell me what they think my PSU upgrade should go up to at least? Was looking @ the 620HX version of my current power supply.

Did you make sure the extra pci power plugs on your video cards were plugged in for both cards? The HX520 is way more than enough power to handle both easily.

This a known problem that seems to happen on random power supplys and with nVidia cards. I have no explanation why it is happening but their is a corsair rep(Yellowbeard?... I forgot...) that posts on here and he'll probably ask you to RMA it or you can disable the nVidia sentinel service and hope there really isn't anything really wrong.

There has been some "incompatibilities" with PSUs. Take a look here.

This has been traced down to an NVIDIA issue with start-up timing in which the cards look for a certain amount of power....

The Major PSU makers are trying to get NVIDIA to admit there is an issue.. and to release a BIOS...

Don't hold your breath.....

I Posted the issue a few weeks ago over in Video :

adding to what tomoyo had you check ,is the 8 pin plugged into the mobo and not the 4 pin ?not sure if its is needed with sli,on this mobo.
also just because to 6 pin pci-e connectors are tight ,it does not mean the male pin has a good connection, you could pull them off to see if the female socket pins are all about the same size,and\or use a 6 pin to molex to test.

Try this workaround that I have posted in Video Cards :
