.....the new 32" LCD that is mounted on the wall above the desk (analog) & at the same time the Dell monitor on the desk below (digital) ?? I want to be able to play DVDs through the PC to the 32".

Second part is this - if both are hooked up all the time, but only one being used by the PC at any given time - would it make any demand on memory ...just being hooked up, but only one at a time being used?

Hope that makes sense. I think I know that if I used both at the same time ...memory would be an issue. Right?

Thanks for any and all help - and ideas I might have overlooked. :)

Yeah, running both analog and digital connections at the same time will work fine, and no simply having a second display plugged in doesn't use any memory. Having both enabled won't use much memory either, and generally won't degrade performance by any notable messure compared to running a single display.

S-video will work, but it is far from optimal. You can get a far better picture out of either component or VGA, and the card supports both.

Thanks for the replies.
Have not bought a card yet. The one on Newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814161197
has the three outputs, analog to a PC (which would go to the 32"), the ditital out (to the Dell monitor) and S vid (unused?).

I hooked up the primary analog cable from the Dell PC (integtrated mainboard) and the pix is great - but no sound - except through the PC speakers.

Snowman mentioned that component would be best, but this card has no component outputs. What am I missing? If I got a card like this, how would I get sound to the TV, other than using the S vid?

Hope someone is still watching this thread and I do appreciate the help.
:)

Edit.
S Vid is just for video, right? That just hit me. So is my only option to listen to the movie through the PC speaker setup?
Thanks again.
