i am going with a new i7 system, and i'm pretty sure the p6t deluxe.
i haven't looked at video cards in ages, i bought the 9800 pro AIW way back in the day ($589 + tax!), and haven't bought one since.
i have a dell 2407fpw 1920x1200 monitor, and want a video card setup that will allow me to play games at full 19x12 resolution.
from looking at some quick recent-ish benchmarks online, it seems like 2 4850's in CF would be a pretty decent setup, and for around $450 (i'm in canada. getting the shaft.)
2x 4850 = $450
2x 4870 = $620
1x 4870 x2 2gb = $699
2x gtx260 896mb = $660
i could go either ati/nv i don't really care, and i'm not a very big gamer, but when i do play, i'd like to max out at 19x12 without issue.
the money issue, for me, isn't a big deal, but, try explaining to my fiance why i need to spend $600 for "occasional gaming"
