if i upgrade a vid card
from a radeon to a geforce based card
how would i go about removing hte drivers and everything
would i have to go into the registry?

No not really. They shouldnt collide but on the safe side uninstall your Radeons and then put in you're Geforce card and install the geforce drivers. No need to go into registry.
