Vid card install going bad plz help

ive got a geforce fx and a emachines T2245 i turned it off put card in and rebooted with monitor in new slot. i see bootup and when windows loads i get nothing. I put monitor back on onbaord video and get picture so i go to dev manager it did not bring up the little bubble showing new hardware but showed it in device manager. So i disable onboard now im blind in windows on both. PLEASE HELP ME!!
