I read a lot of Tom Clancy stuff, and there's a lot of info on standard procedures that are followed. Here's the thing, VP and the Pres. shouldn't be in the same place in crisis like this, or in the possible presence of danger. In case President do indeed killed from whatever cause, the VP's there to resume leadership. So I won't be surprised if Cheney wasn't there at the ceremony at NY with Bush.

He was not in the Senate when they reconvened.....their has been only one shot of him since the attack...but I believe it was stock footage and it could not have been recent because Bush was in the room with him. He was supposedly meeting with Powell today at 2:30 Eastern time....but the news only covered Bush's trip to NYC....how convenient. He has not made any public appearance since the attack, they said he was at the White House when the planes hit the WTC and he was rushed into a secure bunker under the W.H. I don't buy any of it......they keep moving him for security reasons, but yet they keep telling us where they have moved him.....how smart is that? My theory is that he was either:

1. At the Pentagon when the plane hit....dead.
2. He has had a heart attack....dead.

Either way....they can say at a later date that he had a heart attack.

Of course that's just my opinion.....I could be wrong.

Have you been to Camp David and seen the VP? Perhaps the Secret Service tell the media one thing, then do another? Cheney could be at any safe location, directing operations.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen him at all. This would be quite a smart thing for the gov't to do IF something did happen to the VP though. But I think it's more likely that they want to keep the Prez and VP apart so if one goes down, the other can take the lead. I've also read in other threads that Cheney is actually the mastermind.
