I don't know if anyone has any insight as to what this problem could be... I'm just more curious if it's video card or monitor related. At every resolution above 60Hz, the screen shakes pretty bad. This happens during boot-up and in WinXP... I tried fiddling with just about everything on the video card / monitor, including drivers (but after watching it boot up, I figured it's not a driver issue). Anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance! :)

ADI 6P (19"), rated #1 by sharkyextreme back in 1998 or '99, heh. I already sent it in for warranty work once late last year, to their approved "east coast" repair center. Got it back (probably a refurb) with shoe prints on it, and a corner that was dented in like a bar of soap dropped on the shower floor (if that paints a picture for you...). Oh, and they kept the power cord. Hrmph. Wah wah wah.

I had a similar problem with an old Sony Trinitron 15" monitor (the VAIO version). The screen would vibrate ocassionally during use (at random times, for random durations). It's probably not the same problem. Try hooking up a different monitor. If you can isolate the monitor as the problem, then there's probably nothing you can do about it yourself (unless you're an electrical engineer).

As miraculously as it started, it has ended and it vibrates no more. And I just got off the phone with their tech support (at the home office).

I have to give ADI "mad props" for their service. I got a response to my request for service made last night at 1p EST, which is probably right after they got to work (10a west coast). They were extremely curteous and very helpful, and were ready to take care of this problem ASAP.

Cool. My old trinitron problem also stopped magically after a while (of course that was several years ago).
