According to the tech channel that is.

It also seems to work on the older chipsets has well.

In addition to this, VIAs patch 1.04 now works with older chipsets not featuring the V-Link-Bus as well. We checked this with a KT133A and a MVP3. Burst transfers with the KT133A went up to 108,3 MBytes/s from 78,2 MBytes/s. The MVP3 even scored 102,2 MBytes/s with the patch, and 64,1 without it. We took these scores with the Promise Ultra133 TX2.

I've never been much of one to just leave things that work alone
Already run RAID 0, and the HD's are out of spec (38mhz), so lets see what it'll do :p

Over there still lots of folks having problems. Well, people who use the .19b patch from George seem to prefer it over the VIA one. I'll give this a run and see how it compares to his. And I have to agree with one of those posts, Via should just pay him a couple of mil and just release his drivers :D

Good guy and is really on the ball when working on this stuff.

welp, mr. breese does it again. the 1.04's are just a tad bit faster than his .19b (maybe by 2%). i trust a stranger on some forums more than i trust VIA, ill stick with good ol' george :)

btw this apparently doesnt fix the sb live issues either, people still reporting crackling. however, no one seems to be reporting about data corruption.
