This may qualify as the most lame question ever...but...

Would there be any reason that an nvidia video card (a quadro4) would work better with an nforce MB instead of a VIA MB?

Nope. Except for the fact the NForce 2 is overall a faster MB.... video wise you would see no difference... If there is any difference it would likely be around 1% and that would be due to AGP drivers.
