VIA Nano systems?

Are there any netbooks out or are coming out soon with the VIA Nano yet?

takes them 2-3yrs to get products to market after "releasing" them

They are actually worse than AMD in that respect but they are so small nobody really cares enough to bitch about it. With the Atom bandwagon going on they are going to have a tough time getting a foot hold in the market. But if the performance and value is there they will get in. Especially if these rumors of Atom shortages are true.

I think VIA can outperform Intel though in the low power segment. They have been doing a great job at it for awhile. And any day I would choose Via (or later AMD Geodes) over Intel.

Umm, Intel slaughters Via in the low power segment, at least until the Nano is released.

My dad recently got an Everex Cloudbook with a 1.2GHz Via C7 and its honestly slower than my 6-year old 1.2GHz P3 Tualatin (even though the Cloudbook has twice the RAM of the P3 rig).

Especially since Via just threw in the towel on the chipset business, it seems to me that it might be going the way of Transmeta if it isn't bought out (another company that wanted to focus on low-power CPUs).
