How well does the VIA K8t800 Pro chipset overclock?

Depends on the motherboard. The ASUS is the best one in this regard, I've seen it as high as 345MHz (not stable).

I can get my Abit AV8 to 300mhz with no problem in windows and Prime, but I'm having a lot of 3d related problems due the fact that the AGP lock fails over 265mhz and my 9800 PRO doesn't like running @ 74mhz.

Ive gotten my Soltek up to 250. If you're running at stock speeds, the Soltek is one of the fastest out there.

The Soltek had problems with AGP/PCI locking but they seem to have been fixed since then. If you're not looking for extreme OCs it should suit you fine.
