VIA K8T800 or AMD 8131 for a dual Opteron setup?

This is my first time building a database server, and need your opinion. :) I'm picking between the MSI K8D Master-F and the MSI K8T Master2-FAR. Any preferences on chipset? The Master2-FAR looks like it has much more updated features (USB2.0, SATA, etc), so I'm assuming its a newer board. It also can take an ATX power supply, but I think the Master-F needs a EPS12V one (which I know absolutely nothing about). Another concern I had was the motherboard mounting. The Master2-FAR fits in an ATX box (w/ 6 mounting points), while the Master-F follows the SSI EEB 3.0 form factor (which I've never heard of...is it a rackmount enclosure?).

Ultimate speed isn't my main concern, but more reliability. I'll be running 2x512 sticks of registered ECC DDR RAM.

If you have any other suggestions for a uber-stable dual Opteron board, please share! Thanks! :D

Looked at Tyan? I'd go with AMD over VIA any day.
What kind of database, and what software/OS?
Oh yah and what kind of budget?

Its most likely gonna be a Windows 2000 Server w/ SQL Server 2000.

Budget is around 1500-2000 total. Master2-FAR puts me around 1500 and Master F puts me around 1700. I'll see what Tyan has to offer. Thanks!
