VIA IDE driver for WIN-XP

Do these IDE drivers help anything for winxp? I tried installing them and they made all my IDE drives SCSI including my CD-ROM drives. If people did decide to keep these drivers, how are you doing with boot up times? My boot up time is increased by 12 seconds for the SCSI.SYS to load up. If anybody knows a workaround to this particular event, then i would be gratefull and will keep the new IDE drivers.
 
Agree.................I'm using the default drivers that came with "XP" and all is well..........besides that does Via's website even mention any drivers for "XP"??? Last I knew they made no mention of 4 in 1 drivers for XP.
