I have to buy a mohteroard for celeron 900 and i can't decide which type of mobo to buy. When check both type of computers with my friend, Intel seems to be little slower than VIA chiptset. The latest VIA chipset really makes big jump!!!

VIA chipset vs Intel chipset, which is faster??? or better?

These are my choice...
Need ATA100, I like P3V4X, but it has ATA66

For VIA chipset: Abit VH6-II
For Intel: Asus CUSL2-C, Asus TUSL2-C

Can you recommend which mobo to buy since I'm not goign to upgrade to P4 yet, i think i don't have much choices other than these mobos, but if you others in mind, please tell me.
Thanks all

Well you don't need ATA100, really. P3V4X is a very good VIA
board. I have two friends that have this board.

CUSL2/TUSL2. Best boards for S370 chip. Rock solid stability, and very fast. No 686B bugs to worry about either.

Why are you even thinking Slot 1? For the Celery I would get any S370 board since it really does not matter anymore they are all matured chipsets and in any event they are all slow chipsets compared to the likes of the KT133A/KT266A boards plus you have a slow celery. Get the cheapest - this is my view especially since you may be going to P4 in the future.
MSI 6309E, Or Soyo 7VCAE or even the ASUS TUSL-C if it is cheaper.
