VIA Chip fan on Asus A7V

......cheap little fan on the Via chip below the cpu is noisey with a vibrating type noise? Anyone figure out a trick to make it run quite?

i just took mine off when it started making noise

unless you do major fsb overclocking the northbridge should be fine without it (many board makers dont even use a hsf on that chip)

Hmmmmm I thought of doing that but thought I better not? How long you been running without it? Any problems?

the system temp(northbridge) only went up a couple degrees, and its been running that way for at least 6-8 months

by the way the system didnt lose any stability (which would have happened if the northbridge was getting to hot)
