S635MP for a basic server running 2003 Server?

It's basicall a fileserver, low end TS server, and DVArchive server.

Very slowly. The only good thing is that you can put 1 GB of RAM in.

C3 CPUs are really much slower than their MHz rating compared to a P3 or P3-celeron, their laughable "1200+" rating is computed through some worthless benchmark with no connection to reality. A P3 500+ MHz or Celeron 667+ would be faster. A Tualatin celeron 1.0 GHz would stomp it into the ground.

Best thing might be to sell it for $25-30 to someone at sudhian.com that wants a low power CPU / mobo combo, then put the money towards one of those $100 Outpost.com Sempron MB + CPU bundles.

It should actually be fine for a light-duty fileserver though as long as you put in 256 - 512 MB DDR. At my old employer (last century) we had a LAN fileserver running on a Pentium 1 at 133 MHz.
