Via + Audigy + Win2k = ?

I've never ran into a problem.

People are still having issues though--if you flash your BIOS, you'll be fine as most mobo manufacturers have developed some type of patch to fix the problems if you have any.

Couple that with the 4in1 drivers and Creative working on a REAL fix as well.

Nothing has helped. Newest BIOS for my Asus A7V (1008), newest 4in1s (4.32), newest drivers for everything.

It didn't happen with Win98, but it happens with Win2k. I even tried using Standard PC instead of ACPI. No luck.

And of course I have an SB Live!

I don't have a problem and I use the onboard sound. BTW, you shouldn't have that problem to begin with, since you have a sound card. I get sound skips and pops whenever I have a lot of HD activity, but with a sound card that should never happen, right?
