I am putting together a new case. That for me is a big deal as I usually keep a case for a while. Anyhow, I wanted to test the DB-1 pump I got for the new build.

I have been using a Via Aqua 1300 for about 3 years along with an F150 Heater core and a 200mm Comair Rotron fan. These are externally mounted in a box.

I was testing for max temp with OCCT and was getting 58-60 with the Via Aqua. I replace the Via with the DB-1 and bled the system. Now my max is 55 degrees.
Idle is 22C in either case.

The same water was reused for the new pump also. Pretty interesting.

Seems fair. Can you give us some background on your choice to go with a DB-1. It never hurts to hear other people reasoning for using certain items. I had been reccomending 355's with tops till I started hearing about it's higher failure rate. I like the 655 but for it's rather large heat dump. I've used a few of the Danger Den pumps(don't know who actually builds them) and their good for less expensive builds. Can't say that I've used a DB-1.

I have just this morning learned that it is in fact the same pump that I've been buying under the Danger Den brand and they're good pumps, especially for the prices you can get them for.

i thought dangerden used CPS MAGS.

This pump isnt a CPS MAG is it?

Last time i heard someone was sourcing these pumps from the same source as TT. But my source tells me there fairly reliable, but they really suck in terms of flow. I guess its up to you on how you use it for application.

Anyhow i bought one and im sending it to martin on XS to run a full test on it including heat out, head pressure, and flow messurements.

He should tell us how good or bad this pump is. I'll make sure i fill you guys in once he posts all the info for it.

I have no idea about the mags but I would be interested in any info you get. thanks. Currently I have them running dual pump dual rad MRC 120 and 220 W/ a Dtek blocks vid and quad on a single loop. Load temps are low 40's.

Put out an e-mail to the guy I got that info from for clarification. He was pretty sure that the DB-1 and the DD pumps are one and the same but, I'm double checking. He, like you, has a box-o-stuff that I'm trying to get him to part with. I'm seeing if he's interested in a swap for a 1 off case to show off his tripple loop better.
