Well, I know the webmaster very well, they're not affiliated with VIA in anyway, they dont get endorsements from anybody, they're just using the name.

What is your point? We need P4 to take advantage of "this"?

no-i like intel, but they are falling behind with the p3 in the mhz race.but then again amd will have cpu's using the 266 fsb, where does that leave the p3?

I know that, VIA's KT266 chip wont come out for like another month or two. People who already have P3 processors will look at the AP266 as a very bright upgrade path.

Not a bad little bump.

DDR for the P3 isn't a total waste....

The P3 only has a 1.06GB/s FSB so no the CPU itself can't get at all 2.1GB/s worth of memory bandwidth, but AGP, PCI, IDE all use DMA transfers so the CPU can suck it's 1.06 and then split up the other half amongst the DMA devices. Maybe it can't use all of the 2.1GB/s but it's not a total waste either.

The Pro266 is a pretty decent little bump for the P3 platform.

That sounds like a lie to grab people's attention, not even the KT133As are out, how can they possibly have KT266??

I doubt they have it, not even the KT133A boards have come out yet. Let alone the AMD760 boards, the KT266 will come after those two.
