Would we ever see a day where we won't have to load these drivers when installing windows ?

Anyway, I been looking at an AMD solution for over a year now and still haven't found what I like.. Things have been cheap now but do you guys thing I should wait for a cooler core ? .13 micron ones ? ie I dont have air conditioner in the room... so that AMD will be really hot..

think I should wait ? I really would like that faster speed to surf the web :)

Hey bro!

I have an ALi Magik chipset & I have mixed feelings on it. I never read the performance reviews before I bought it. From what I have seen, the ALi chips dont perform quite as well as say....the AMD 760/761 chipsets or high end Intel chipsets.

If you could hold out for one that you may feel had sufficient cooling then go for it.

I would recommend the AMD 760 or the VIA before the ALi.

Hope that helps..

Yeah, forget MAGiK it often performs only up to PC133 SDR. I'd get AMD 760, or KT266. There are great boards out for each. Top 3 for 760 are Abit KG7-RAID (Expensive), EPoX 8K7A+ and Gigabyte GA-DDDDD. Top 3 KT266 are Asus A7V266 (AMD's refrence platform now, not out in the states yet), Shuttle AK31 rev2, and EPoX 8KHA.
