VIA 4in1 and Video card

I bought a new card and I uninstalled the TNT2 I had and shut down the PC. I put the new card it and rebooted, loaded the drivers and then the latest version of VIA. Is that the wrong way to install? If so, should I fix it or let it be. I am planning on formating and soon. So how should it be done??

Normally Via drivers right after OS,I`ve done it both ways like you did without problems.
