WinXP has built-in support so no don`t bother.

Normally on Win2K or Win98 system you would install all VIA 4 in 1 drivers except the VIA agp driver for your board and get the AMD AGP mini-port driver from AMD site and install that however with WinXP you don`t need to bother since it has native built-in support.

This seems to be a general misconception. Windows 98, 2000, and xp all have drivers for a lot of devices. If your AGP card works after you install windows you don't have to install the drivers yourself. If you want to have the latest drivers you will go out to the website and download them. 4 in 1's are the same. Use the latest drivers for the best performance. Just let sombody else try the each new release out before you use them. I usually give it about 2 or 3 weeks and check the forums for problems before I install new drivers of any kind. If there is a problem, I do not want to be the first to find it. As for your hybrid chipset check with VIA website. It tells you what you need for these chipsets.

<< Notes:

Do not update 4-1 drivers unless you are experiencing problems.

Microsoft Windows XP has native XP support and 4-1 drivers usually are not needed.

The AMD MINI-PORT driver is for only boards that use AMD northbridge like AMD 761,your board is VIA Apollo MVP3 chipset( FIC- VA-503) so it`a all VIA chipset so use the VIA for in 1 drivers only. You can install the latest 4.37 VIA 4 in 1 drivers if you want.

So don`t get the AMD mini-port driver it`s not for your chipset.
