The release documentation hasn't been updated,,,, so I can't tell ya whats new / fixed.

I wish I knew if it was safe to use them. My wife's KT266A system is still plugging along on the 4.46 set. If I were to d/l the 4.49s and wish to install them, would I just install them over the 4.46s or should I uninstall the old ones first? Anyone?

Driver support for the KT266A was very mature by the release of v4.46. Unless you have a very new video card based on a very recent GPU, 4.49 probably offers nothing for KT266A.

Could be, hard to know until the driver release notes for this newer revision are made available.

can someone Email Via to update the Release Information?

I cant find an Email addy anywhere on thier site ... lol

All I`ve found out about the new 4.49 drivers is this info,

The official release is now up on the Hyperion driver page. Release note file is still forthcoming but I know it's a new inf and AGP driver which brings support for MS Server 2003.
.

Quick update, I`ve just installed the official 4.49 VP2 drivers on my Epox 8KHA+(VIA KT266A) and XP ,no problems with games so all seems stable like before.

Megatomic,I just run the exe.file and installed over the top like I normally do,you need to reboot after, this is the way VIA recommend.
